During my time as an interior designer at Kerry Hill Architects I worked across multiple projects including commercial, civic, workplace, education and hospitality. I worked across all stages of the design process from initial concept presentations to final construction documentation and on-site services. My main responsibilities in this role focused on documentation, which was done in AutoCAD. With a significant portion of my work centred around construction documentation for the Hale School Drama Precinct and the redesign of the Memorial Hall - Western Australia's first brutalist building. I worked specifically on these documents simultaneously with other projects for close to a year and detailed everything from plans to RCP's and elevations, all the way down to joinery details. These drawings were coordinated with site services and liaising with consultants formed a large portion of my role. Beyond drafting, I also managed our FF&E for this project and coordinated with suppliers to keep an up to date FF&E schedule for transmittal to the project manager and head contractor.
