I learned about how a circular economy offers a more sustainable economic growth model. I also learned about the connection between site ,water, energy, environmental quality and how they can be used to improve the building and site performance.
Rajiv Gandhi Proudhyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya, Bhopal, IN, BArch, Architecture
I earned my B. Arch. from the Rajiv Gandhi Proudhyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya, Bhopal, India. This course of study gave me a thorough foundation of knowledge in architecture and design. In the initial year, I handled small-scale projects like cottage design, studio design, and school design that involved analyzing and resolving complex space issues. This helped me acquire a comprehensive approach towards Anthropometry and Environment. In my third semester, I carried out a project that involved street design, slum redevelopment,
redesigning of the existing recreational space beside the lake, reviving the “BAWDI” or “Stepwell”, where I came with different design interpretation that enhanced my natural ability to devise solutions to issues associated with poor planning. It was from my fourth year of Architectural study that I began to adopt a special approach to my design process. My fourth-year design topic was to create “awareness among people towards environment through built-form” by designing an Eco-Resort. The modern world is facing a major obstacle, due to various needs and desires of human beings that is of climate change, global warming, loss of ecosystem and natural habitat. In order to promote the factor
of sustainability and to conserve Nature, it is important to deviate from conventional ways of greed and exploitation and look for a better and brighter future. By the end of the design process I learnt one thing that we can never terminate but only minimize the effects that built-form have on our environment.
