We need to think horizontally.
We have to have integrity.
We have to challenge.
We have to take risks.
We have to create.
Throughout my life, I've always had a deep appreciation for art, architecture, and design. My earliest memory was seeing a building and thinking how does it work? What are the spaces inside the building? Why are there specific design elements present here that are not present elsewhere? When deciding my future, I decided to study architecture for something... New. Bold. Daring. Fun.
Create for the sake of creating. Let the creation have purpose. Let the creation guide you. Let the creation have no meaning but be art. Let the creation in the hands guide your next steps.

Proposal Title: The Performative Art of Design
Proposal Abstract: By studying the process that goes into creating dance choreography and music composition and incorporating those processes into the architectural design and design process, the final design can utilize the fantastical and theatrical process of creation from dance choreography and music composition to create a new type of architectural design. In addition, this innovative process could also result in new types of music composition and dance choreography. The creation and design process is a critical point for artists and designers because the process helps identify what works make adjustments. Secondly, this proposal aims to influence future designers – not just architectural designers – that collaborating with other artists and creators can lead to new discoveries and inspirations.

Proposal Title: The Exploration of Materials on The Theatrical Stage from an Architectural Perspective Proposal Abstract: Through the exploration of materials and creating an abstract, unique design process, theatrical design could be reinvigorated. Traditional aspects of scenic design have hit a standstill in materials use and designers often design with the same concepts and material not allowing for play or experimentation. This proposal aims to change the way that designers think in terms of material use, and demonstrate to upcoming student designers the possibilities of the theatrical when new material and play is introduced.
