Prior to earning his Master of Architecture at SCI-Arc, Heagi studied social welfare at Yonsei University in South Korea and anthropology and fine art at the University of Oregon. His interdisciplinary studies and varied hands-on architectural experiences informed Heagi’s design philosophy that creativity originates from finding, discovering, and combining two or more different things. He also approaches projects from an “architecture as a developer” perspective, which is not the traditional role of the architect. Heagi believes this approach helps find a balance between financial feasibility and architectural rightness.
