My name is Sarah, and at present, I am working as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) where I am responsible for assisting the internal call team with their questions and resolving conflict as needed, although I am hoping to gain professional experience in architecture and design.
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. During my time in our architectural studio courses, we primarily drafted in AutoCAD, utilized Rhino in our 3D modeling, and post-produced with Adobe Creative Suite programs, then with a brief introduction in using Revit. Our projects focused primarily on designing museums with offices and artist studios, gradually focusing on structure, architectural codes, as well as facade design, followed by a brief summer Urban Design-focused study abroad studio course, in which I spent my time in Paris. In early 2014, I participated in our college's annual Dean's Cup weekend-long design challenge, which that year, the prompt was to design a space capsule for two. Together in a team of three people, myself and my colleagues, we earned an Honorable Mention for our efforts, only to be featured in Lubbock's First Friday event later in the year.
