My name is Jonathan Escalante and I am New York based interior designer. I hold a masters from Parsons School of design in Interior Design where I received the student design award for my thesis work that explored the engagement of body in public design. My design inspiration centers on the performance of space and design as a social tool. The spaces that we craft carry within them the many stories of who we are as individuals, communities, cultures, species and living breathing entities. A good performance can reach in and touch you. It can free you. It can change your mind. It can excite you. It can be dissected over coffee. It can be something that flutters across your mind as you fall asleep. I strive to create stages on which the going on of life can be fully lived, and ennobled.
