Feather & Nest Interiors, Missouri City, TX, US, Associate Designer
In the summer/fall of 2021, I worked as an interior design intern at a residential design firm called Feather & Nest Interiors. During my internship, I worked directly under the founder and principal designer, Jen Hayes. At Feather & Nest, my responsibilities included:
- Creating models and renderings on the Revit and AutoCAD platforms to clearly convey the Principal Designer’s intent for five residential design projects
- Generating accurate floor plans, sections, and renderings used in project presentations to clients
- Communicating design details to contractors during project implementation
- Compiling retail sales data to assist in future merchandise orders
- Facilitating activities such as FF&E selection, installation, and supplier relationship management
