About

Hi, my name is Peter

I’m a Junior Architect with a passion for sustainable design, with a diverse background in computer science, process optimization, and logistics.
In 2018, I decided to switch careers to architecture, and in 2021 I graduated at the top of my class with an M.Arch degree from Parsons. Since then, I have taught 2 semesters at Parsons and begun working full-time for a boutique firm that specializes in luxury single-family residential architecture.

Working at a boutique firm has been a great way to be involved in all stages of design, from schematic design to construction documentation, from client meetings to consultant coordination, and from photorealistic renders to detailed construction drawings.

During my M.Arch studies, my focus has been on sustainable design through the use of parametric design tools, culminating in my thesis on large scale mass timber transport architecture. My academic and professional experience prior to studying architecture has been invaluable in picking up these new skills quickly.

As a career changer, I’m coming into this profession with renewed excitement and a range of established, transferable skills. Before I started studying architecture I completed separate master degrees in computer science and business administration, followed by a 9 year career in medical supply chain management. This background has helped me build up a wide set of critical thinking and problem solving skills, as well as personal and interpersonal management skills.

I’m hoping to bring all these skills to a firm that holds sustainable design as its core values and where talented individuals continue to rethink how to align the constructed environment in harmony with the natural environment. I hope you enjoy browsing through my portfolio. I welcome the opportunity to talk more about the projects I’ve worked on, and how my skills can be an asset to your practice.

Best,
Peter
