I have a Master’s in architecture, and have a background in studio art. Art has been a huge influence in my architectural work. I’m interested in visual communication in architecture. Not only trying to create beautiful drawings but also to tell the story of the design. Design-wise, I believe what kind of architecture we spend most of our time in influences us imperceptibly, and how we make it says much about who we are. Form and function are not two separate things, they are not “either-or”. I believe together they create cultures. I enjoy designs that are poetic, beautiful, and powerful.
Currently I'm a full designer and a part time instructor at the University of Minnesota teaching graphic representation in architecture.
