About

With over 5 years of experience working in residential architecture firms throughout New York and North Carolina, I have come to appreciate the importance of collaborative designs and thoughtful construction. Whether a single-family house or a large civic museum, I believe architecture is best created alongside others. For this reason, I enjoy learning from and contributing to firms of various sizes that advocate for collaboration between the in-house team, colleagues of other disciplines, and the project's clients. Within design teams, I am confident both listening to others and leading projects; while at Ryan Salvatore Design in New York City, I assisted on numerous projects and led one project from schematic design through permitting, and while at BuildSense Architecture in Durham, I contributed to multiple projects, led client meetings, and coordinated with trade partners. Furthermore, I believe that excellent architects are excellent builders and maintain a strong understanding of the built environment, from overall form down to the smallest construction detail. I have worked in various construction roles, including as an intern building and testing sustainable wall sections at WaCa Design in New York, as the Teaching Assistant for the Making Studio at Columbia GSAPP, and as a part of the on-site Design-Build Staff at BuildSense.

Ultimately, in all of my work and in my professional career, I seek to create thoughtful designs and lasting relationships. If you would like to connect, please contact me at [email protected].
