About

My name is Joshua S. Brigman.  I graduated from the architecture program at the California State Polytechnic University of Pomona in 2009.

I have worked on a variety of projects including residential and commercial adaptive reuse, historic preservation, multi-family housing, mixed use developments, a LEED certified institutional building, design/build transportation systems, telecommunications projects, fiber designs, generator designs, and utility coordination.

Over the last 10 years I have primarily focused on architecture and engineering for the telecommunications sector.  In that time, I have led teams of up to 8 drafters to meet client deadlines.  I have coordinated hiring and management of contractors including civil engineers, private utility coordinators, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, landscape architects, and soils engineers. I have served as the point of contact for general contractors during the construction process. I have been responsible for budgeting, profitability, invoicing, and billing.  I have permitted 400+ projects in 100+ Southern California jurisdictions.

Employment

Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Newport Beach, CA, US, Project Manager

In addition to the responsibilities I held in my previous position, the project manager role called for an increased emphasis on budgeting and profitability. I created reports detailing the time each employee could spend on each billable task. I was responsible for my department’s monthly invoicing/billing. Each week, I led a nationwide company status call.

I coordinated hiring and management of contractors including civil engineers, private utility coordinators, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, landscape architects, and soils engineers. Once the permits were pulled, I served as the point of contact for general contractors. This job allowed me to be involved with many aspects of an architecture firm.
