Scarlett Zhang was born and raised in Shanghai, China, where she nurtured her passion for urban exploration and spatial design. As a process-oriented and idea-driven young designer, her perspectives are informed by a variety of topics, from Non-place philosophy theory, to border social issues, and visually iconic films to biology. She views each project as an opportunity to explore fascinating spatial possibilities and bold color compositions intertwined with a strong commitment to cinematic spaces and social sensitivity. In her work, she endeavors to create picturesque spaces that blend drama and ease, sophistication and rigor, calmness and warmth.
