My name is Anand Shah and I am B.Arch. graduate from Aditya College of Architecture, Mumbai University. My interest are towards urban challenges, public domains, conservation and material exploration. My goal is not only to be able to provide sustainable and attractive spaces for people, but also to be able to inspire and motivate others how imagination can create a better living condition for mankind.
I have previously worked with , HCP (Bimal Patel), Ahmedabad, India. During my time at HCP, I learned and developed many skills and abilities. I have worked on Urban Design projects at HCP for 4 months which included:
1. Pune Riverfront Development
2. Developing Transit Oriented Zones in Ahmedabad
Both these projects included in-depth research and then proposing the design at masterplan level. At HCP I have also worked in the Detailing team which included making detailed drawings for Gujarat Cancer Research Institute at Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad.
I have also worked as a freelancer after completing Architecture in which I have ventured into Furniture and Product Design in which I have explored the boundaries of material and craft in the context of contemporary India.
Through these and other projects detailed in my resume I am also experienced with building materials and systems, sustainability techniques and construction administration. I have extensive experience with a broad range of design software including AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Suite.
As part of achievements, I was first in Mumbai University in the final year with SGPI of 10.00 and I have also received Charles Correa memorial award for best Thesis.
