Anisha graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. Since then, she has worked with the dynamic team at DLR Group as a project designer. The extensive work on schools at the firm has lead to a growth in her technical skills as well as in her design sensibilities.
In the summer of 2018 she interned at EXP Global, Chicago office. She continued this internship on a part time basis during the Fall semester while attending classes offered in the city. At EXP, she enjoyed the fast-paced work environment, learning the standards of work flow in a larger firm that required coordination with multiple disciplines and between different offices.
This experience has fostered her love for cities, and all they have to offer in terms of architecture, urbanism and life beyond that.
Additionally, she has work experience as an architectural intern at Amit Khanna Design Associates, New Delhi.
She is diligent, hard-working and quick to adapt. She enjoys working in teams and juggling tasks that require coordination on different levels. Having worked at both a relatively small office as well as a large one, she is comfortable handling tasks and projects that vary in scope and scale. She is a self-motivated individual. She hopes to expand her knowledge of Software, improve her technical skills in terms of document creation and improve on her soft skills so that in the coming three years she can confidently handle projects and hold a position of leadership in design teams.

At DLR I worked extensively on K-12 projects. My experience at the firm ranged from working on pursuits and competitions for LAUSD and SMMUSD schools, to working on Construction Documents and creating As Built sets for completed projects. While at the firm I also undertook the responsibility to create a consolidated FF&E Library for firm-wide use. The library is built into HIVE to be used with Revit for the K-12 department. This position not only gave me the opportunity to hone my technical skills as a designer, but also prepared me to undertake responsibility in a task or a project while working as a part of a team.
