Currently Pursuing a Master of Architecture at Virginia Tech, where I was exposed to the areas including Working Drawing, Architectural Design, and Building Construction Techniques. My graduate studies make me a perfect fit for pursuing internship in an esteemed firm. Before completing my Bachelor of Architecture, I interned with an architectural firm as an intern for five months where I got the opportunity to design a shopping complex and a high rise community housing complex. These projects varied in size, behavior, functionality, and requirements. This opportunity gave me a clear vision of the professional life and taught me much professional etiquette that will be beneficial for my future endeavors.
I have published my design dissertation where I proposed design alternatives that focuses on developing housing opportunities for Pakistani Hindu Refugees in India. The whole process of producing Design Dissertation was full of conundrums and challenges but at last, I was able to develop the ability to undertake any project from ground zero.
After completing my undergraduate course, I joined my family construction business where I designed a mobile smart toilet. This smart toilet was designed to solve the sanitation problems in slums and other underdeveloped areas of the country. The smart toilet was named as Intelligent toilet (i-toilet) due to multiple factors such as unmanned operations, Power efficient, Water conservation, Enhance cleanliness through auto flushes and floor washing, and Easy installation. The concept of i-Toilet provided quick access to sanitation infrastructure. Through this system, I was able to tackle issues ranging from micro to macro level.
Before emigrating into Graduate school, I worked as a Project manager on an interior project. Renovating the house from the scratch, monitoring the contractor and his work force gave me an opportunity to discover the leadership quality within me.
Ten years down the line, I see myself working on a massive socio-architectural project which will benefit the environment and the people, where I can utilize my knowledge based on construction and management and bring out best out of me which would change the definition of architectural beauty.
