Hi, I'm Landon Beard!
I am currently pursuing a full-time position at an architecture or architectural modeling firm in or around New York City. I am a recent BArch graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I discovered the significance of, and further my passion for design. My medium of choice is physical modeling, but my education and work experience have afforded me a variety of skills, most notably:
I have a theatrical background and have developed an appreciation for Art and its societal influence. I am passionate about cross-medium cooperation and allowing artistic and design principles to affect every aspect of my life. I am interested in learning in contrasting environments and allowing my experiences to refine my perspective. I am a skilled collaborator and pride myself on my ability to connect people with differing personalities. Most of all I strive for knowledge and experience and make an effort to regard every individual as having a unique and valuable disposition.

My most recent architectural work experience was at Peace Studio Architects. I filled the role of an Architectural Drafter/ Junior Designer at Peace where my primary task was to assemble and modify Construction Documents using MicroStation, SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu. Other duties included completing accurate site measurements and working in close proximity with clients, district personnel, and contractors.

While in the process of attaining my BA in Architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I worked as a technician in the college's fabrication shop. Here I gained experience using and fixing LASER cutters, 3D printers, plotters, and other design-aiding machinery. I also processed student work and assisted with student presentations.

In the summer of 2016 I worked as a consultant for 4D on a prototype project for modular tiny housing. I used Rhino, Illustrator, and InDesign and collaborated within a small team to produce specific, individualized presentations for client review.
