Amina Ahmed is a Detroit architectural designer who has been in the profession for eight years. She is mostly engaged in residential projects but also has worked on commercial and retail schemes. For Amina, her interest lies in seeing architecture through multiple scales to better understand the human experience in a built environment. This means starting from the scale of an individual’s hand to progressing to the urban impact. Further, she is also committed to different methods to produce architecture and how image-making is able to inform design decisions.
As a multidisciplinary designer, Amina also has experience in graphic design, photography, illustrating, and furniture design. In her spare time, Amina enjoys discovering new music, fashion, modeling, and painting.
