CAFx Copenhagen Architecture Festival 2019 - Final Video Lorena Cruz
Hello, I am Lorena Cruz, architect determined to capture the essence of what really defines architecture on each project I encounter. In search of pragmatism and functionality in everything I do. Various experiences have led me to always guide myself with my intuition and passion for an honest and complex aesthetic at the same time. The practice of architecture has led me to reach a degree of delicate personal evolution that dictates the basis of my way of seeing the world.
By serving society with my intuition is what has led me to achieve certain personal and professional achievements.
Here a selective sample of professional and academic projects that express my essence as a human being.
Thank you.
Ciklik Vargas Arquitectos, Mexico City, Junior Architect
My work experience at Ciklik Vargas Arquitectos consisted of the development of the concept and architectural development for three projects in Mexico. The first project I work at was a family house in a new urban development in the northeast of Mexico City. I helped to develop the conceptual phase in addition to some of the construction plans from the advanced phase of the project.
The second project I developed was a master plan for a luxury resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. This project implied the extensive analysis of all local and regional regulations applied to hotels in Riviera Maya which is a protected area due to its natural landscape and Mayan architecture legacy. Here I helped to draw the master plan from a large scale and consequently, we developed each bedroom unit componing different typologies of bedrooms in order to satisfy the client’s needs, according to a market study given by the client. I was involved in the analysis of which was the best way to assemble each cluster inside the master plan according to all previously studied regulations. Lastly, the third project I work at was a Four Seasons Staff housing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
