During the three years at the University of Michigan, I developed my architectural design software skills as well as various media of creative expression like a sketch and physical model. By taking different studios from different instructors in school, I get in touch with several different design approaches to design. I feel like the parametric design approach interests me the most not only because of the rapid feedback between the input parameters and output geometry but also due to the magic of logic contained inside the code. So I begin to get in touch with grasshopper, python, and processing to assist my parametric design process. Parametric design is also a powerful tool for façade design. During my internship in Zaha Hadid Architect, I use grasshopper a lot on the exterior façade rationalization. It helps me adjust the size for each panel easily. I am confident that I can handle the task for this job.
