I am a recent Architecture graduate of the University of Auckland, New Zealand who has just moved abroad to New York and having completed my MArch Prof (masters) I would like to work for a highly regarded practice, such as a company, who has the same approach to design as myself.
Having minor experience within the industry I have been a part of a multidisciplinary and internationally recognized firm, Beca. Working as an urban design graduate I was able to work with senior urban designers, architects and landscape architects to deliver projects within a given timeframe.
I believe, with my international background, that I have something unique to add to any junior architect or interior design role. I am particularly interested in interior renovations, shop fittings and interior design. This is an interest I have developed through my previous work experience in merchandising a pop-up store in Auckland, New Zealand.
My strong communication skills with 6 years extensive experience in customer service relationships and mediating problems or issues to find acceptable solutions has always been an asset to former employers. As a merchandising and retail assistant, creativity, resourcefulness, interpersonal skills and working with a team to achieve common goals and completing these tasks are what I consider to be transferrable skillsets within the Architectural industry.
My computer skills are advanced. I am proficient in the following programs:

I have logged thousands of hours within these programs and am efficient in all however being a fast learner, I have the ability to cope with change and have a willingness to try new things.

My strong communication skills with six years extensive
experience in customer service relationships has enhanced my
ability to mediate situations and find mutually acceptable
solutions which been acknowledged as an asset by my former
employers.
Within my last year of retail, I undertook on a wider role with
organising stock transfers and sales reports of different labels.
This role also involved creating marketing campaigns and
advertising using direct email which included Facebook and
Instagram to appeal to a wide range of age groups. In addition to
being in charge of merchandising the store each week, I was
charged with creative design for the store and window frontage to
entice customers.
Beca Group, Auckland , Urban Design Graduate Position
I was an Urban Design Graduate for the multidisciplinary and
internationally recognized firm, Beca Group. Beca Group
provides advisory services, project management and delivery,
technology. In my role, I worked with senior urban designers,
architects and landscape architects to deliver international
projects within a specified timeframe.
The last project which I was a part of was ‘Supporting Growth’
which is a collaboration between the NZ Transport Agency and
Auckland Transport to carry out the planning phase of the
Supporting Growth Programme. My role in that project was
reworking railway and bus link routes as well as creating graphs
to better communicate the ideas to the general public.

I have recently completed my Architectural Degree with a masters of architecture after having complete my bachelors degree, all up the degree was 5 years, I have completed my thesis during this time and am now ready to join the work force.
