About

I have more than 16 years of experience in the design and development fields, and a passion for sustainability and human health in the built environment.  In my current position, I provide financial analysis and project management, coordinate the work of the design and development team, direct in-house landscape architectural work, and assist with both business and human resource development.  When I'm not crunching numbers or doing market research, I try to escape to the mountains for hiking and camping adventures, or to one of the many live performance venues DC offers.

I hold a Master's degree in Commercial Real Estate from Georgetown University with a concentration in commercial development, and a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech with a minor in horticulture.  I have been a professionally licensed landscape architect (PLA) since 2005, am a LEED Green Associate, and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

The five-year BLA professional degree program engages students in courses and extra-curricula activities that develop and hone a wide-range of skills necessary to practice landscape architecture. Combining design and design-thinking, creativity, science, problem-solving, and community collaboration, the Landscape Architecture Program at Virginia Tech guides students as they develop their skills and make their place as designers and planners of the built environment. The program is built around a 4-credit studio course each semester for the first 4 years, followed with a year-long (8 credit) senior project, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding and application of landscape architecture fields of study.
