About

I was Born and raised in New York and received my Masters in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2019.

I have 2 full years experience working as a job captain in retail architecture. I have had approximately 3 years of experience, prior to full time, working in an architecture, visualization, and engineering firms as seen in my resume.

I discovered my focus in my architectural career is sustainability and energy efficient design. Along with my work and educational experience I have become very proficient in Revit, Rhino, Adobe suites, and many other modeling/designing programs as seen in m portfolio.

Employment

Adam Golinczak Architecture PC, Brooklyn, Job Captain

During my time at AGA I have worked on multiple luxury retail design/construction projects of various sizes. The majority of the work is done in 2D using AutoCad, but I have been able to use my 3D modeling knowledge to bring more 3D visualization to some projects for clarity with clients. Working in collaboration with remote design firms our role is to create construction documents from their design drawings. As the architecture firm for the project we also lead through all construction phases collaborating with Millwork, Facade, and General contractors throughout.

Taitem Engineering, Ithaca, NY, US, Intern

Working in an Engineering firm I was able to experience the engineering side of the business which allowed me to understand any problems or conflicts that arise as an engineer in a design. Having this extra discipline allows me to understand the issues that may rise in design and account for those ahead of time. During my employment at Taitem I worked with Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers on local residential and commercial buildings.

Education

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, US, MArch, Architecture

Rensselaer's Architecture program has a 3 year intensive program that focused on digital design (using Revit, Rhino, Maya, Grasshopper, etc.) and model making allowing me to become more involved with 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC milling machines.

Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY, US, Architectural Studies

The Architectural Studies Program at Ithaca College was a couple years old once I arrived and began my studies. My classes focused on Architectural history and concept, but I had a specific focus on sustainability. During my time at Ithaca I took advantage of the new program and used that to create a connection with the students of the major through Architecture Club which I co-founded and ran for two years. While in the club I worked with the Environmental Studies Department and designed an Aquaponics garden (implemented in the dining hall) and a roof garden (implemented on campus).
