About

My love for architecture and design stems from when I was a little girl and my dad gifted me a 'build your own dollhouse' kit. The project was a tedious and long task but one that kept me busy and kept my mind free of bullying related stress. After graduating high school in Lake Tahoe I moved to Santa Barbara to pursue college and be immersed in my favorite style of architecture: Spanish Mediterranean.  I was blessed to be able to study abroad in Cape Town South Africa during my third semester. During this trip I toured the Langa Township where my eyes were opened to drastic living conditions, and yet also to a community atmosphere like I'd never seen before.  With a background in being used to moving between homes constantly throughout the year, Cape Town showed me that a house can really feel like a home even when it's made only of 50 square feet of scrap tin. Since this trip, my design aesthetic has revolved around simplicity where the atmosphere of a space can be organic, relaxing, serene, and simply beautiful. I have since then moved to Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I had the privilege of learning from well known architects and architectural critics within the area.  I dream to pursue a career in the architecture and residential design platform.
