I spent a semester in training to become a TA for a Biological Science course at Penn State, and spent the following semester as a TA. I taught two lab groups, each containing twelve Penn State students. I designed lesson plans for these labs on a weekly basis. We met for a lab once per week and attended lectures together twice each week. During lectures, I monitored and coached my own 24 students as well as 630 others in the lecture hall. I graded approximately 120 handwritten and typed journal responses each week and attended weekly TA classes/ meetings with the professor and his assistants.
