My name is Patricia Sees, I am Mexican born and raised, architect, interior designer and passionate about construction, processes and details, I now count 6 years of experience in construction and office work. Since 2013, I've had 2 jobs related to my career and learned a lot from each of them. Now I am looking for the next big step, along with launching my freelance studio named Proyectista.
My website and portfolio is set to be upload in May 2019, I just recently started to improve it and update it with my experience.
I'd be happy to be included in forums and discussion tables.
Proyectista Arq (website launch May 2019), San Luis Potosí, MX, Veracruz, MX, Freelance / Designer
As I gained experience in my previous jobs (which are not listed here) in construction and housing development company I decided to take the next step and start my own freelance studio, I am currently based in San Luis Potosí, México, but I also work on housing designs in Veracruz, México, this last one is my hometown.
Proyectista Arq was born a while ago but finally, I've decided to bring it to the market, as I developed myself as a real architecture professional I saw several opportunity areas in the city I live, you'll see, México is a big market for large suburban developments and the result of it, from my point of view is forced and repetitive, in México we lack of space renewal culture within the families, Mexican families prefer to sell and buy a brand new house than renew theirs, even though it is placed in strategic urbanized zones, this pattern is creating dead and abandoned spaces and furthermore they eventually get demolished and rebuilt as a strip mall.
Ok, now that you know a bit of me, I have to tell you that I have very mixed feelings about strip malls, I believe there are too many and there are no studies about the financial or social impact to the counties. These strip malls are half empty or they never get rented, looking abandoned and dangerous.
In the result of all of the mentioned before, Proyectista is destined to help families to renew their houses or to transform them into functional spaces for them, my motto is to deliver a versatile, neutral and functional product to my clients, improving their lives and environmentally friendly.
