Dear Sir / Madam,
I am a French national and a graduate of an architecture degree, I graduated in June 2017. My degree focus was on architecture but also civil engineering. I began studying engineering at the same time as my architecture degree because I find the subject very interesting and I wanted to have complementary knowledge to my main area of expertise. During my architectures studies, I follow a double course with one of the National School of Engineering, the school I joined today after my master's degree in architecture.
My knowledge of architecture has given me the ability to understand construction and design concepts effectively, to communicate information graphically and have a broad knowledge of architecture. My engineering studies has given me the ability to further understand structures. Studying engineering has allowed me to comprehend structural analysis, materials, networks, methods, mechanics of structures and a technical appreciation of how buildings operate.
Throughout my internships I was able to learn and to familiarize myself with software packages and to become comfortable with being on construction sites. I have also attained administrative and regulatory skills that are essential to be an architect today. I would like to complete an internship abroad to expand my knowledge of the field of architecture and construction.
I am passionate about travel and I am a curious and motivated person, I have travelled to many countries mainly in Europe. My master's thesis in architecture dealt with the problem of residential densification of current metropolitan areas. While researching and completing this thesis I had the opportunity to participate for a month in a workshop in Argentina.
It is my aspiration to complete an internship abroad and I have had this goal for many years. I am now in a position to complete this goal and I am looking for an internship for a duration of 8 to 12 weeks. I am open to all proposals related to architecture, civil engineering and construction.
Regarding my fluency level in English; I passed the TOEIC test last April. TOEIC is an English language test designed specifically to measure the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. Therefore, I have shown a competency in the English language and the ability to perform my duties as an architect or engineer through English. In the same way I am ready to work or study the American regulations, software or any other tool necessary for the smooth running of and potential internship.
I look forward to speaking with you if you wish to choose me for this employment opportunity.
Many thanks and kindest regards,
Morgane Bousquet.
