About

Since completing my BArch degree in 2004 and receiving my architectural license, I have worked at two of Israel's leading architectural firms, BLK Architects and Nofar Architects, with the former specializing in large-scale commercial and residential projects in Israel and abroad, and the latter being a leader in the realm of public construction. For the past five years, I have served as the National Supervisor for Accessibility of Buildings, Infrastructure and Surroundings at the Israel Ministry of Justice's Commission for  Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities, responsible for a staff of 10 architects and engineers. In parallel, I have continued to maintain a private architectural practice of my own that focuses primarily on public projects and I am also pursuing a Masters' degree in Architecture at Tel Aviv University, where I am expected to graduate this coming summer (2018).

My portfolio and professional accomplishments are diverse and varied. At BLK Architects, I managed large-scale projects, including the design and construction of high-rise residential and commercial buildings in both Israel and abroad, including the U.S. and Eastern Europe. At Nofar Architects, my work included the design of a new police academy and I also led a major urban renewal project funded by Israel's national government in the lower-income city of Lod, which included the design and construction of a high-school to meet the needs and cultural sensitivities of the local, predominantly Arab population. In recent years, I have focused on public projects, including the design of a local community center and of several nursery schools in my home town of Rehovot.

Beyond my design skills, I have gained crucial management experience throughout my career.  In my own private practice and at the two architectural firms at which I worked, I supervised and continue to supervise large teams of engineers and consultants and have managed projects from their inception to their execution. In recent years, as National Supervisor for Accessibility of Buildings, Infrastructure and Surroundings, I have led a diverse team that is spread throughout Israel to implement national plans for accessibility and internal reforms at the Commission. In terms of my work-style, I am creative, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, and a team-player.  I view my work as an architect as a vehicle to bring about meaningful social change.
