Jerome Haferd is an architect practicing out of New York. He is currently an adjunct faculty at Columbia GSAPP, NJIT, and Pratt Institute. His current interests include how architecture establishes a dialogue with contemporary phenomena, non-hegemonic users, and spaces. Jerome has previously worked in the offices of OMA/Rem Koolhaas and Bernard Tschumi Architects.

Performance and Play, Abstract vs. Built Form, Nature and Territory are some of the interests they have worked on in their collaboration. Trained architectural professionals; the two have been exploring their interest in public space through experimental public projects since 2012. Haferd and Knapp were winners of the first annual 2012 Folly competition held by The Architectural League of New York and Socrates Sculpture Park. Their recent work includes 'caesura', a community public art and architecture installation in Harlem's Marcus Garvey Park in collaboration with artists Jessica Feldman and the NYC Parks Department.
