Monrovia Nursery Company, Azusa, CA, US, Speciality Accounts Manager

Wrote and executed a business plan to market plant brand Monrovia to landscape architects. In eight years, customer base grew from 20 to 1,500. Product specifications grew to $9.5 million annually, resulting in $1 million in direct sales.

Increased sales volume of plant brand Monrovia during the slower time of the year by successfully launching creative packaging of plants to targeted mass merchandisers, buying groups, and independent garden centers.

From 1997 – 2017, consulted on reality television shows for HGTV, ABC, FOX, Showtime, and NBC. Prepared plant palettes representing 24 unique architectural styles of homes for “American Dream Builders”, NBC primetime series reaching 3 million viewers. Successfully negotiated with NBC to position plant brand Monrovia in 10 of 12 episodes and scheduled on-time deliveries of plants to each episode throughout Southern California.
