My name is Lu Zhang. I am writing to apply for the Associate, Graphic Design position with MASS Design Group. Through further research on various projects of your company, I really admire the way those projects are organized and look forward to the opportunity to work as part of your team.
I have a Masters and a Bachelors degree in Architecture. After six years’ study in architectural design and construction, I obtained solid knowledge about how to design different types of architecture as well as how to combine high-tech with design, which refined my critical thinking and analytical skills in architecture. From my academic learning, I also learned how to apply design software skillfully, like Revit, Rhino(Grasshopper), Maya, Adobe Suites, Sketchup, Autocad and rendering.
Apart from this, I threw myself into two internships during these years. The projects I participated in range from interior design, architecture design to landscape design, such as the riverside landscape, a tourist service center, a residential building, an archaistic business street and a high-rise hotel in Kazakhstan. From these experience, I have further familiarized myself with space organization, construction design and detail design of architecture, as well as how to effectively communicate with others to convey ideas.
