Interior Designer | Sustainability & Environmental Consultant | Maker
Interior architect, specialized in sustainability, bringing creativity and systemic thinking into the design process. Skilled in cross-sector design and analysis at the intersection between sustainability and the built environment.
Recently, I completed a Master of Science degree in sustainability management from Columbia University. I also have a bachelor's degree majoring in interior architecture and minoring in psychology. I am LEED Green Associate certified and have knowledge of WELL, Fitwell, and Passive House Standard. I also bring working experience in all phases of the design process, client presentation, finish and FF&E selections and documentation, bid set production, and material library management.
I am currently working toward LEED AP and the WELL Building Standard Certification AP, and studying for a Healthier Materials and Sustainable Building Certificate from the New School.
I want to design more green buildings with the ecological impact in mind during the design process rather than as an afterthought. With the current environmental events, all fields must recognize the challenge we face while developing our living world. As an interior designer, I feel the obligation to reimage architecture to connect construction with sustainability.
I also strive to be a bridge for people from different fields. Working as a designer, I am fully aware of the importance of cooperation because it is almost impossible for designers to achieve their ambitions while other parties work within their bubble. I understand that being a platform requires a bunch from me. However, I kept asking myself: do I want the change, or do I want to change. There are a handful of people who demand revolution from their society but are unwilling to act accordingly. I want to change because I’d like to make a difference by creating more dialog regarding sustainable architecture.
