About

https://eyo.cargocollective.co...

I am experienced registered architect with a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a strong design professional with a diverse project portfolio.

My professional experience includes diverse project type from single family residential projects to large scale urban and institutional projects throughout New York City, Southern California and overseas. As a project architect, I participated in designing 45,000 SF Precinct Station House in southern Queens. The new 116th Precinct Station House is a relational intermediary between neighborhood scales of residential and rail, a physical connector for residents and the Rosedale Station entrance, and an important social connector for the NYPD and Rosedale community. I was involved in managing complex approval process with NYC Public Design Commission and developing DD, CD, BID set with the project team and consultants. As a Project Architect and acting Project Manager, I have been leading Construction Administration of 161,000 SF new home in Bedford-Stuyvesan for Brooklyn’s District 3 Department of Sanitation team. The project entails developing garage space to store, repair, wash and fuel 68 sanitation vehicles and office space for 120 personnel.

Aside from my day to day duties, I have been an active participant and often a organizer of diverse groups that helped professional development. For example, I led AXP group to mentor and support AXP candidates at Dattner. I was an active participant in Dattner Women’s Group and Women in Architecture AIANY to keep the awareness of diversity and equity high in the work culture. I organized AIA NY Day of Service to foster voluntary design discussion and practice for a non-profit organizations with much-needed upgrades to their facilities or assistance with their mission. These experiences have enabled me to be a fast and motivated adapter and to value the true worth of collaborative design culture in a fast-changing industry.

I believe in comprehensive design approach which explores contemporary thinking but also encompasses thoughtful and ecological planning and execution that meet complex needs and aspirations of design goals. I love to explore new tools and innovative approaches in design while respecting the value of context and program unique to every project.
