About

Christiana Moss approaches architecture with vision, optimism and a commitment to testing and research. As Studio Ma's founding partner and design principal, Christiana is responsible for assisting clients with identifying project goals, facilitating decisions and leading the design team to realize successful buildings. Her ability to grasp the interrelationships among these issues and use them to shape memorable architecture is integral to Studio Ma’s practice.

Christiana received her Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art and Planning. Prior to graduation, she joined the studio of Pritzker Award-winning Nordic master, Sverre Fehn, at the Oslo School of Architecture for a semester of study.  She interned in the office of Simon Ungers in New York City upon graduation, where she worked on a winning entry for the Berlin Holocaust Memorial. In 1997, she moved to Arizona and joined the offices of McCoy and Simon Architects and Eddie Jones from 1998-2003 before founding Studio Ma with Christopher Alt, her partner in life and work.

Christiana leads Studio Ma’s educational, institutional and cultural program types, where she applies her design thinking towards the successful completion of both small and large-scale project types. These have included public-private partnerships with Princeton and Arizona State Universities.
