I have been working as an Architectural Designer at Dattner Architects for the past two years, where I have focused on interior fit-outs. My position at Dattner has complimented my design skills with a better understanding of building systems and design constructability. Through Dattner’s institutional client work, I have developed the ability to create compelling designs within the constraints of limited budgets and institutional standards. Among the many projects I have worked on, I was fortunate enough to be the lead designer on multiple fit-outs at Essex Crossing, which included assembling the entirety of the construction documents and guiding the designs through construction administration. Prior to Dattner, I worked at Echo Design and Architecture, a three-person firm in Manhattan. At Echo, I had the opportunity to lead designs in workplace and high-end residential projects. I capitalized on working for a small firm by taking initiative and executing advanced responsibilities including preparing and presenting design proposals to potential and existing clients, implementing office organization standards, and instituting new rendering and presentation software.
My New York design experience has gifted me with the ability to harmonize budget consciousness with acuity for high-end design. As illustrated in my portfolio, I take pride in my ability to design at different scales, typologies, and budgets. My comprehensive experience in all phases of a project has given me a more holistic understanding of design and will allow me to apply my problem-solving skills wherever needed.
