I am a current Graduate student at Michigan state university in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor focus on construction management and have my bachelor's in architecture from India. Since enrolling in MSU's URP program, I have developed more both personally and professionally and have honed my skills in various fields including green architecture and planning, domicology and economic community
planning analysis.
Before joining my master, I worked in firms where I gained experience in both Indian and international (USA and European) architecture and urban design projects. I have had the pleasure of working on government projects from the very initial stage which and gained experience with governmental negotiations and gave me solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with individuals at all levels.
On receiving my confirmation from MSU, I joined a Startup Firm where I worked as a Design Head for north India division and managing a team of 30 members. I served on a research team that succeeded in new resource sourcing and characterization project management accelerating and streamlining production process by 35% and increased productivity by 30% in sales.
My organizational skills have allowed me to prioritize schedules and complete projects within time and budget guidelines. Though I was new at both the firm, I was entrusted with client proposals, contract, BOQ submission and project management which in itself goes a long way to show my maturity, management skills, and pro-activeness.
