Having completed my undergraduate degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, I am actively seeking an exciting opportunity within a visionary company who would place me in their team to develop professionally my passion for creativity and design.
I would like to do a one-year internship to gain experience prior to completing my Master’s degree. What I would like to think my work shows is a willingness to explore. I feel there is a certain understanding with architecture education in which you are to find your ‘style’. I took my undergrad as an opportunity to really challenge myself design wise and see what I could bring out of trying new and different approaches to design. It removed a sense of bias towards certain architectural styles.
I’ve learnt that in architecture that I am not great at seeing finer details. I feel my strength in design lies in seeing the bigger picture. Conceptually and pragmatically resolving a design is something I feel I can do well. However, “god is in the details’’, and as a result, my work according to my lecturers still feels conceptual. Understandably this is a skill that takes years of practice and is something I am most keen on learning during my year out working. Ideally, A place id love to work in somewhere where there is a great learning atmosphere and a diverse group of people with many different ideals and approaches to design. Thanks for reading Ive

I was part of the team involved in rebranding and redeveloping the Lifestyle retail stores across the Middle East. This involved conceptual development of store design and visual planning and presentations for the final pitch.
I was also working with the design team on several projects during my time here. I was placed in the team responsible for designing the display stands as per specifications for product lines at Virgin Megastores.
