As an intern I contributed to contracted and competition projects through model-making and digital drawing. I expanded my knowledge of professional design techniques through project critiques and feedback from colleagues and employers. This internship offered me professional work experience while living and working in a foreign country, developed my language skills and professional vocabulary while also providing new perspectives regarding the relationships between public agencies, clients and the design process.

Taubman College students are immersed in a curriculum that reinforces analytical and conceptual problem solving skills with interactive studios, lectures, and seminars. The 125 credit-hour undergraduate architecture and liberal arts curriculum culminates in a pre-professional Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Architecture.

The B.S. degree prepares students for future work in a myriad of areas. After graduating, some students choose to pursue graduate studies in a professional Master of Architecture program in order to prepare for architectural licensure. Some pursue graduate study in related fields, including landscape architecture, engineering, art, construction, urban planning, urban design, or historic preservation, while others pursue graduate degrees in business or law, applying their design knowledge to these fields. Others find opportunities with architecture firms or in other related design occupations or use their degree as a springboard for creative work in unrelated fields.
