About 

Shu Ting Yang is a Landscape Architect with professional experience in London and Taipei. Her work focuses on creating frameworks and tools for human intervention, just as a notation is a tool for conductors and musicians. 

Yang dedicated to observing the behaviour of the user in public space - and implementing the design that enhances the awareness for local community with outdoor exhibitions, events, installations and workshops.

In the role, I worked for HTA landscape team, the responsibilities including communication with the clients and local authorities, illustrating and development AutoCAD construction drawings (Tender package), conceptional diagrams that presenting to the clients, collaboration with consultants, masterplan illustration. On the different scale of landscape bids, I was taking the responsibilities of the overall design concepts and design languages.

As a junior landscape designer in Taipei, I worked in retail, commercial, and residential projects. I advanced to involvement in all aspects of concept development & visualization, through creating design options, presenting these to the developer, and then delivering the detailed technical drawings from which work could commence. Examples of my work from that time, using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp, are included in my attached portfolio.

This gave me the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds and disciplines, and I enjoyed the great vibe of working in friendly teams. My major project utilized narrative theories to construct a landscape intervention in an urban space. Feedback from my course director highlighted my strong organizational and presentational skills.
