About

To belong, to contradict, to emphasize, to interfere: to make architecture is above all to speak of connections. Columns that think of trees or totems, thickness of walls to live on, the stratification of glasses that create ambiguity, materials of yesterday and techniques of the moment ... I like the idea an unexpected microcosm, emotion and pleasure. It remains to invent the poetic situation. The one that links the project with its macrocosm: the site and its strata of history. The attitude, specified by the place, can sometimes favor sobriety and effacement, sometimes accentuate a clear and direct presence. Dialogue, complement, or reveal: in all cases, it is a game of encounters and telescoping of meanings. A successful project probably brings more questions than answers.
