Established and manages the marketing communications function for Omrania; a leading international architectural and engineering consultancy firm, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing marketing communications strategies, plans, and budgets
- Managing operations across branding, advertising, public relations, events, and sales collateral.
- Setting up and running the organizational development of the marketing communications function, including: accounting, workforce, suppliers, infrastructure, legal, governance, and reporting.
- Supporting the Board of Directors in international expansion business strategies.

Omrania, Riyadh, SA, Senior Urban Planner

Participated with a team of international experts working on a US$250 million contract to design 27 new residential communities for the Ministry of Housing (MOH) in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities included:

- Preparing recommendations for a national housing policy for Saudi Arabia
- Developing master plans and urban design guidelines for housing projects
- Leading the design of marketing communications package for the housing projects

GIZ: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, Aleppo, SY, Urban Planner & Communications Consultant

Consulted for the GIZ on the following projects:

Madinatuna: City Development Strategy for Aleppo, Syria. 2008 - 2011.
Served as the Chief Marketing Communications Officer and as an urban planner in this participatory city-vision project, co-funded by the World Bank, GIZ, and Aleppo Municipality.
 Was responsible for leading the project’s marketing strategy, branding, and all its communications’ operations.

Program for Sustainable Urban Development in Syria. 2008 – 2012.
Role involved leading the development of selected print, digital, and web marketing communications.

The Project for the Rehabilitation of the Old City of Aleppo, Syria. 1999 – 2012.
Served as an urban planner and as a communications consultant for a Syrian-German cooperation project for the redevelopment of old Aleppo; a living 355-hectares UNESCO world heritage site.

Tourism Development for the Old City of Aleppo, Syria. 2003-2010
Served as an urban planner and as a communications consultant. Work involved:
- Moderating participatory planning workshops.
- Preparing a strategy for tourism industry/product development, branding, and marketing.
- Leading the design of a tourism brand image for the Old City, tourist maps and signage system.
- Co-organizing cultural events and preparing communication packages for these events.

Solid Waste Management Program for Aleppo, Syria. 2009.
Led a social marketing anti-littering campaign, part of a pilot program by the city's municipality. Responsibilities included: participatory planning, strategy, art direction, managing production, fundraising, book keeping, media planning & booking, press relations, events management.

The Project for the Development of Historic Cities in Yemen. 2004 – 2007.
Provided urban planning and communication services for a German-Yemeni cooperation project for managing 2 world heritage sites and other historic cities.

Founded and led a boutique creative agency that offered interdisciplinary solutions in the fields of marketing communications, architecture, and urban planning.
