Maya Angelou once said, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” How does this translate to my life? Well, I wish to make a difference and impact others in a positive way, every day.
I am interested in acquiring a full-time, upper level, architecture position.
I am a registered architect in both New York and Vermont with an exceptional portfolio of work across many genres. This move will give me the opportunity to pursue the right direction for my career, utilize my knowledge, provide valuable talent, and contribute to your firm’s already excellent reputation. My mission is to be part of an office culture whose goals are to create places and elegant solutions that delight, heal, stimulate and enhance the human experience, while at the same time are socially responsible, innovative, sustainable and resilient in their design.
I now live in New York City, after being in Burlington, Vermont and running my own collaborative architectural consulting firm for over 25 years. I was fortunate in establishing excellent working relationships and completed many diverse projects with a number of firms and institutions. I obtained a wealth of valuable experience in the fields of architecture, interiors, BIM and CAD. This includes several years of mixed-use, healthcare, commercial, institutional, healthcare, corporate interiors, urban design, master planning, as well as Revit and AutoCAD experience.
In addition, I have served both AIA New York and AIA Vermont, voluntarily and as a board member, AIAVT’s President in 2015 and the Programs Committee chairperson in charge of executing our collaborative annual conference between AIA VT and CSI VT. I enjoy being active by doing public sector outreach projects that have a sustainable and social justice impact within my community.
I hope that you may require my experience and expertise on a full-time basis. If you are interested or have any questions please call, write or email me. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you personally. My portfolio website can be viewed at https://rovneralarm.wixsite.com/lisajrovnerarchitect.
