Studying two full-time professional courses in two different countries around two completely different sets of people has not only brushed up my cross cultural relationship building skills but has also widened my knowledge on something I’ve been juggling around since more than 7 years now - Buildings!
I have been a creative lad, which I almost forgot until I jumped from Engineering to Architecture. However, sticking up to what I do made me an Engineer before and an Architect (Part 1) now!
A holistic approach that spurs a vivid coalition between these two not so diverse branches of building is what I believe an Architect requires to give people not what they want, rather give them what they never dreamed they could have!

Being part of an in-house Architecture Development team of Nshama exposed me to design side of buildings & construction, while staying close to the client-end of a project, where execution & financial aspects are closely considered.
My tasks included:
Creating master-plans of future Townhouse projects, while working on on-going projects.
Making Landscape Layouts.
Creating Marketing Drawings as & when needed.
Taking up design-and-build tasks.
Creating area tabulation sheets.
Making presentation sheets based on on-site analysis fur future design improvements & implementations.
Making site visits and meeting with Site Contractors & engineers.
Concept Building & Pre-Concept Planning.
Making Co-ordination Drawings with up-to-date information.
Ujjval Fadia Architects & Interior Designers, Ahmedabad, IN, Engineering Liaison Technician
Worked as a Engineering Liaison Technician between the Practice and the contractors, Structural Engineers and other M&E Technicians. The job involved:
1. Management of on-site works as per the deadlines.
2. Coordination of works between various personnels/technicians involved.
3. Regulatory on-site checks based on Technical drawings provided and as per the Building Codes and By-Laws.
4. Provide technical advice as and when required.
Shreepati Build Infra Investment Ltd., Mumbai, IN, Junior Site Engineer - Intern
Worked under Assistant Site Engineer on the Sukhanad site in Mumbai where the firm's 52-storey commercial + residential towers were under construction as part of their Township Project: Shreepati Jewels. My job involved:
1. Generating quantitative analysis sheets under the supervision of the Chief Site Engineer based on which Steel and Concrete was ordered for construction.
2. Checking on-site construction work based on the Architectural and Structural drawings provided.
