About 

Luis Miguel Pizano (he/him) is a Brooklyn-based architect-developer. His professional interests include affordable housing design and finance, community-driven development and capital structuring. 

At Monadnock Development, he manages the rehabilitation of forty-one NYCHA buildings and 1,700+ units across New York City. He also supports development analysis and new business initiatives across the Monadnock portfolio. Furthermore, as Co-Director of Community Equity Investigators (CEI), he develops equity-building initiatives that serve BIPOC folks in Harlem and the Bronx — a project that was recently awarded the GSAPP Incubator Prize. Luis Miguel is also Co-Founder and Editor-at-large of Patio Magazine, a student publication which has been recognized by the Center for Architecture’s Douglas Haskell Award for Student Journals. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, where he was appointed Associate in Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
