Architecture excites me, not only as it currently exists but from a forward-thinking perspective. The architectural possibilities in this ever-evolving world inspire me---for vibrant, elastic, transitive architecture---for architecture that is not merely adaptable but conductive to change. To me, architecture must be synonymous with change if it is to remain relevant and sustainable in an inconstant world.

Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, US, BArch, Architecture

The mission of the Department of Architecture is to educate design professionals relevant to the metropolis of tomorrow by constructing an environment where general, architectural and urban issues are investigated in depth. While acquiring the fundamental skills and knowledge base of the discipline, students are taught to think critically about architecture, as a situated environmental and social practice, and to engage in debates about the opportunities and dilemmas presented to it by transformations in society, culture, technology, climate & materials.

The five-year Bachelor of Architecture program of study at Temple University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was highly comprehensive, with a strong concentration in studio work. Each successive term brought greater challenges and rewards than the previous term. At graduation, I was ranked second in the architecture program.
