About

I am a graduate of the M.Arch program from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently I am looking for full-time positions in the United States.

During my graduate studies, most of my design studios focused on mixed-use buildings in different scales, including a super-tall building, a high-rise healthcare facility and a library and co-working facility. I learned a lot about how different building systems including structural system, core functions and mechanical systems are integratively designed together to work efficiently. However, I’ve also worked on smaller scale residences trying to define the meaning of home.

I have used Revit for more than five years in architecture school, where I did most of my studio projects using Revit. I’ve used it from massing, modeling families, detailing all the way to creating view templates and sheets. During my internship in the summer of 2018, I learned to use Revit for creating more complex geometries, modeling parametric families, furniture and material tagging, working with worksets and design options and project phases.

I use Rhino and different plug-ins including T-splines for modeling complex geometry and also use Grasshopper for parametric modelings and light and environmental studies. For visualization, my work-flow includes modeling in 3ds Max and using Vray or Corona for renderings. I am also proficient in using Adobe softwares for editing photos and videos.

I also gained a lot of experience in fabrication. I have worked as a graduate assistant in charge of CNC routing and laser-cutting at the University of Illinois. This working experience included a lot of problem solving and prototyping, working with students and staff. I also have experience with non-digital fabrication including wood-working and welding and I have designed and built multiple pieces of furniture.
