Jinghao Xue (xuejhm@g.ucla.edu) graduated from Architecture and Urban Design at University of California, Los Angeles. He studied architecture, sculpture, and philosophy in his undergraduate study and received a five-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering of Architecture from Shandong University. He was awarded Excellent Student of School and won second prize in Structure Competition. Prior to studying for his master degree in UCLA, Jinghao worked as an intern for three months in Shandong University in 2014. In serving this position, he was mainly responsible to make physical models, sketch design, AutoCAD drawings and document management. In addition to designing in traditional ways and tools, his research focuses on ways in which parametric calculation and 3D printing techniques can affect architecture and urban design. He studied with Professor Guvenc Ozel who is interested in intersection of architecture, sculpture, technology, visual arts and research on urban culture. Jinghao’s current research on emerging technologies concentrate on creating interactive environments that challenge traditional fabrication techniques and spatial assemblies.
