Javier Huerta-Juárez, Graduated from the University of Toronto (2016). Draws lines on paper, fabric and digital; as well models in digital, wood and metal; drawing influence from art, cuisine, lm, couture, literature and philosophy.

Trained as a building architect at Ensamble studio of Anton García-Abril, in Madrid; and as visualization specialist and model maker at IBI Group in Toronto. Holds a BA degree in Business and has work experience in auctions, sales, sourcing, customer and project management in software, consulting and procurement industries in Amsterdam, Mexico City and Toronto.

Has developed language and cultural skills through extensive work and travel experiences. And feels comfortable conversing in Spanish and English while also being able to socialize in Italian, French and Dutch.

His recent interests revolve around the disillusionment with Modernity and its symptoms in quotidian life, including: Nostalgia, Boredom and Uncanniness which form the basis for his thesis work for the Masters of Architecture at the Daniels faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design.

As an Architect doesn’t make things up, but acts just as an eccentric and naive mirror reacting on whats goes on around. Contemplating on Society through the power of observation, and the analytical rigour of deciphering architecture as a media device, thus capable and entailed to express something beyond its mere existence and into the society that made it happen.
