Master of architecture student at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Expected to graduate in May 2018.
My approach to design begins with formatting conventional ideas towards buildings typologies. Instead, I aim to examine how [spaces / objects] are re-formed into the realities of the now and then. It is always a question of what space should do, not what a building already is.
I have no prioritized interest in the formal result of a certain space. I am, however, interested in examining the design narrative of how space; with the end user in mind; is to be formed. A task that cannot be done; in my opinion; without having a broader understating of the architectural agency within the social, political and economic realms.
In terms of technical skills, I am interested in geometry explorations through parametric design tools and I am comfortable using either Rhino, Revit, and AutoCAD to communicate design ideas. In terms of professional credentials; on the short term; I intend to become both a licensed and a LEED-certified architect.
With that being said, I look forward to collaborating with creatives from different disciplines, and to get engaged in conversations that nurture our roles as agents for positive urban development.
