I am a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, School of Architecture Class of 2020. With an interest in expanding my knowledge and experience while finding inspiration in new places and from new people, I enjoy finding the balance between the expansive creative process and the realistic limitations of architecture.
My life long practice of different styles of dance and the visual arts has heavily impacted my work ethic, attention to detail, awareness of the body, discipline and motivation.
Fleischman Garcia Architecture + BDG Architects, Graduate Architect
Working with project teams of Interior Designers and Partners to complete interior and exterior building renderings, physical models, construction details, conceptual drawings and analytical diagrams for civic and cultural projects. I primarily used BIM software such as Revit and Enscape which improved my technical skills and attention to visual settings.
Arquitectonica, Miami, FL, US, Design Team Intern
Aside from assisting with competition entries, I worked in the conceptual, feasibility and schematic phases of offices, masterplans and residential high-rise projects for clients such as developers, city planners and major universities. In preparation for meetings with clients, I used software such as Photoshop and Revit and Autocad to put together the drawing set and presentations as well as to update renderings; I used Rhino and Sketchup to build massing models. This developed my ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to translate feedback both individually and with partners.
Choeff Levy Fischman (CLF Architects), Tampa, Intern
Working closely with the partners and design team, my tasks included the following: rendering, making material boards, drawing elevations and structural details, visiting project sites, meeting with consultants and clients and making marketing presentations. This utilized my presentation and graphic designing skills as well as improved my hand sketching techniques.
James McHugh Construction Company, Miami, FL, US, Project Manager Intern
I worked on the construction site of Miami Midtown 5 (a mixed-used, high-rise apartment Design-Build project). My tasks included punch-list documentation, documenting RFIs, designing the project's office interior plan, photographing the site, learning and practicing construction methods and collecting the bids for a future project package. This prepared me to be a future leader.
