While enrolled at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as an undergraduate, through my graduate studies, I worked part time, as Design Classics Architectural and Interiors. In addition, I was able to do contract work in China on summer break, 2011, and after 2012, moved to Brazil, where I was married, and remained while finishing my Graduate Studies at the Academy of Art University, SF, and through the immigration of my spouse, closing my freelance work in late August 2015.

Basically my position while freelance or contract, stemmed from that of my full time group of services.

China (Three month consulting: Interior Design for Shenzhen Décor Ltd. : Renovation of 19th Century-Embassy Row of 29 Villas into 5 Star Hotel complex. May 2011-July 2011

 Merchandising Design Group Manager tasked with re-shaping and repurposing existing case goods and merchandisers into more advanced designs, new product solutions, in support of regional manager’s client requests for supportive design changes to existing or new systems.
 Facilitated the company goal of “Whole Store” design by the creation of a series of coordinating design solutions encompassing the customer-selected product line, and Client presentation of a new store turn-key ability for rapid business expansion and new locations.
 Managed a team of 10 associates.


 Introduced new colors, profiles, and textures into existing MTI product line and created new product categories.
 Developed advanced graphics for Touch Screen Technology and Interactive merchandising products.  Conceptualization of “Virtual Car” car audio merchandiser and collaborated with General Motors stylist to create a virtual and actual production model based on original design sketches.
 Achieved the first 100% sellout of Whole Store Design Consumer Electronics product pre

Note: I left the company in 1996 as an overhead staff reduction. In January 1998, MTI hired me back in the same position, but increased salary.
